Prepare your children for a water-safe summer with Learn to Swim lessons
22 August 2017
If you’re planning a summer holiday by the beach or the pool – now’s the time to act to make sure your children are water-safe this summer.
Kingston Mayor David Eden said swimming lessons were vital in children’s early years to help them be safe and confident in the water.
“It’s an Aussie summer tradition to head to the beach for the holidays, so it’s incredibly important that children have the swimming skills and water safety knowledge to stay safe,” Cr Eden.
“It can be tempting to skip swimming lessons during the winter months, but the practice kids get now can ensure they are stronger swimmers this summer.”
Kingston’s Leisure Centres run a range of Learn to Swim options – including weekly classes, school holiday intensive programs or private lessons – all in well-heated indoor pools.
“We ensure children grow in skills that will serve them throughout their lives to become strong, safe swimmers,” Cr Eden said.
