Council rangers round up lost sheep

19 May 2017

Kingston’s Local Laws officers were faced with some wild and wooly escapees this week.

Three sheep were spotted wandering the streets of Dingley Village and Council’s rangers swung into action to coral the sheep before they were harmed.

Kingston Mayor David Eden said the officers – who usually deal with cats and dogs – cornered the lost sheep in Swallow Reserve until the owner arrived.

“When the owner first spotted his sheep were missing, he thought he had been fleeced and was having a baaaa-d day,” Cr Eden said.

“It’s not every day we’re called on to round-up some sheep, but we were happy to get them back home safe and sound.”
