My Community Life website buzzing with local events & activities

1 August 2017

Kingston’s My Community Life website is buzzing with local events, activities and volunteer opportunities doubling in the past year.

Kingston Mayor David Eden said that Council was pleased to see that almost 300 different community groups have used the site to connect with local residents since its launch in June 2015.

“Council launched the website to provide not-for-profit groups a space to promote their clubs, events, activities, and volunteer opportunities,” Cr Eden said. “It’s just one of the many ways Council is working to ensure Kingston is a healthy, strong, and better-connected community.

“It is great to see that the website is enabling better community connection and participation for residents,” Cr Eden said

My Community Life is bursting with all the latest events, classes and activities on offer in Kingston for people of all ages and interests.

“The numbers of groups, organisations, and local residents using My Community Life keeps growing, and there is something for everyone on the site – from children’s recreation programs, to patchwork classes, calligraphy, social sports and fitness, dancing lessons, language courses, and more.

“My Community Life is free, easy to use, and local. It’s the best place to find out about what’s going on in Kingston,” Cr Eden said.
