Summer holiday activities galore on offer in Kingston

The summer school holidays are just around the corner and there are plenty of exciting activities on offer in Kingston to keep youngsters entertained.
Whether you’re a working parent in need of all-day activities or simply a family looking for a one-off event to help keep boredom at bay – Kingston has school holidays sorted!
Kingston Mayor David Eden said Council offered a range of activities every school holidays to assist local families.
“Kingston offers free events at your local libraries, fun activities at our leisure centres, arts-based workshops at Kingston Arts plus an action-packed all-day School Holiday Program,” Cr Eden said.
Kingston’s School Holiday program has a range of activities that have been designed to keep the kids busy over the summer holidays. It is based at four local primary schools in Aspendale, Bonbeach, Dingley and Moorabbin and will run from Wednesday 21 December to Friday 27 January.
Activities will include dress-up days, gymnastics, excursions, craft activities, zoo visits and day trips. Enrolments open 9am Monday 21 November and close 5pm Friday 9 December.
Kingston Libraries School Holiday program is back this summer from 9-20 January - featuring a range of activities including mad science workshops, superheroes, arts, crafts, movies and more.
Events are free however bookings are essential and will open on Monday 12 December.
Make a splash with Learn to Swim lessons, inflatable sessions and our Aqua Play area. Waves and Don Tatnell Leisure centres will also be keeping kids active with FREE supervised gym sessions 10am–noon every Thursday in January for ages 8-14.
Kingston Arts Creative Lounge
Join in a range of arts-based holiday events perfect for creative kids. Summer holiday programs at Creative Lounge include a Tech Camp and the Australian School of Magic.
