Opening of the redeveloped Chelsea Kindergarten
3 November 2017
Chelsea families will celebrate the official opening of the new Chelsea Kindergarten this week.
Kingston Mayor David Eden said the $2million project was part of Council’s ongoing investment into
quality early learning centres across the municipality.
“This is a great outcome for the Chelsea community and these fantastic facilities will give local children a
great start to their education,” Cr Eden said.
“This state-of-the-art centre offers larger, improved facilities to help meet the needs of Chelsea families.”
“The new Chelsea Kindergarten is located next to the Chelsea Primary School to ensure a strong
partnership with the neighbouring school community.”
The project has been funded by Kingston Council and the Victorian Government.
Kingston Mayor David Eden and Victorian Families and Children Minister Jenny Mikakos will officially
open the new $2million centre on Thursday 9 November.
