Dingley will receive much-needed new sporting facilities after Kingston Council last night voted to deliver a new two-oval AFL and cricket sporting facility for the area.
Mayor Tamsin Bearsley said Council had committed to provide two new much-needed new playing areas to help meet growing demand in the area.
“Dingley’s sporting clubs are doing a fantastic job and urgently needed new facilities to serve the growing community,” Cr Bearsley said.
“Council has been working closely with local sporting groups and we’re pleased to announce we’ll be delivering two new sporting ovals to the area. This will ensure our clubs have room to grow and continue to play a valuable role in our community promoting a healthy, connected lifestyle.
Council has shortlisted three potential sites in the Dingley area and will begin investigations to determine the most appropriate venue for the new two-oval facility.
