Apply now for funding to help boost a healthy, happy, connected community

Applications are now open for Kingston Council’s 2017/18 Community Grants Program with thousands of dollars on offer to help boost our vital local community groups.
Kingston Mayor Steve Staikos encouraged eligible local groups to apply for funding to assist them as they work to build a stronger, healthier and socially connected Kingston.
“Kingston is proud to invest over a million dollars in supporting our fantastic local community groups make a positive difference in our community.
“Council works in partnership with local not-for-profit community organisations to contribute to a healthy and vibrant community in Kingston,” Cr Staikos said. “Every year Council allocates thousands of dollars to help hundreds of different community groups deliver a range of programs in arts, sport, welfare, community events, social activities and much more.”
Grants are available in the following areas:
Annual Grants: Up to $10,000 available to community groups and organisations for activities that contribute to the social, economic and health and wellbeing of the residents of Kingston. A series of information sessions will be held in coming weeks to help groups apply for an annual grant.
Arts Grants: Grants available for individual artists, not-for-profit art groups and organisations across four categories: community arts, youth arts internships, arts and cultural tourism and sharing cultures.
Children’s Week Grants: Up to $1000 for events and one-off activities that celebrate Children’s Week in October.
