Kingston Council staff spread some Christmas cheer to local families in need
30 December 2019
Staff at the City of Kingston are helping spread Christmas cheer to local families in need through the annual Toy Drive.
For the past nine years, staff members have donated toys to be handed out by Kingston’s Family Support Service.
Kingston Mayor Georgina Oxley said this year more than 90 presents were donated to put a smile on the face of a child at Christmas.
“Throughout the year Kingston’s Family Support Service helps around 100 local families in need,” Cr Oxley said.
“At Christmas time our staff are happy to donate a child’s present to make sure Christmas is a joyous time for all.
“It’s a great way to support our community at this special time of the year.”
