Kingston Arts Makers Market gets crafty in time for Christmas
21 November 2016
The annual Kingston Makers Market has arrived just in time for Christmas. Get a head-start on your Christmas gift list at our twilight shopping experience.
Now in its 8th year, Kingston Arts’ popular Makers Market is the place to be on Saturday 3 December to snap up one-of-a-kind handmade designs from talented local artists and designers.
This year's market will feature over 90 stalls boasting art, paintings, candles, jewellery, leather goods, beauty products, homewares, child and baby products, cards, stationary, ceramics, fashion, plants, food and a range of creative design pieces.
Local stallholders include:
- Claire Denbury, the artist behind Cheltenham’s Ginger Seed. Her hand-printed children and baby clothes are made from 100% organic cotton and also come in a range of homewares, bibs onesies and cushions.
- Gingersnap & Co’s homemade biscuits are made by Mordialloc’s Samara Jowett. 10% of the profits go towards two local charities - Mums Supporting Families in Need and Project Respect. Biscuits come in a range of flavors and also cater for gluten-free and vegan dietary requirements.
- Natural soy wax candles from Mac+Pat Candles are created and hand poured in Roxy Mac’s home studio in Highett. Packaged in natural cotton bags and handmade copper tins.
Entertainment will also be available on the day with live music, arts and craft workshops for kids, and snack food from a delicious range of food trucks.
Makers Market is on 4pm-9pm Saturday 3 December 2016, at Kingston City Hall carpark, 985 Nepean Hwy, Moorabbin.
