Reimbursement of Expenses of Councillors
In accordance with the Local Government Act 1989, Councillors are entitled to be reimbursed in relation to expenses incurred in their capacity as a Councillor.
Council has adopted the Councillor Support and Reimbursement of Expenses Policy which outlines the resources/support to be provided to Councillors and expense that may be claimed in the performance of their duties as elected representatives of the community.
To ensure greater transparency, Council has committed, through the above Policy, to publish the reimbursement of Councillor expenses:
- in the Annual Report
- on the Council website on a quarterly basis.
