Learn to Swim

It’s never too early or too late to learn to swim.

Our Aquatic Education programs cater for all age groups, ranging from 6 months to adults.

Utilising the Life Saving Victoria Swim and Survive Program, our Leisure Centres aim to build confidence in the water through familiarisation, water safety and stroke progression in a non-threatening and relaxed environment.

• Parent and child lessons begin from six months of age and promote water confidence so children are comfortable in the pool.

• For school aged children we concentrate on building that confidence in the water and the development of stroke techniques.

• There are also adult classes available, which range from beginners to stroke techniques and fitness.

All of our instructors are AUSTSWIM and CPR qualified and undergo regular training to keep their skills up to date. Pre-school teachers also have Infant Aquatics accreditation.

National Water Safety Week

Water Safety Week Australia wide campaign, and is a key element to promoting the  'Play it Safe by the Water' message

During this week organisations across Victoria provide people of all ages the opportunity to participate in a range of water safety activities in a variety of environments. Swimming lessons are not just about learning to swim, but learning how to be safe in and around the water. All students will be participating in fun water safety activities such as swimming in clothes, fitting PFD's, reach and throw rescues and learning about other water environments.
