News>Free child restraint checking day
Kingston Council, in partnership with RoadSafe South East, is conducting a free child restraint checking day on Sunday 20 May 2012 between 10am and 2pm in the car park at Bunnings Warehouse at the corner of Fairchild Street and Warrigal Road, Moorabbin.

| The child restraint fitters present on the day are trained and certified by the Australian Child Restraint Resource Initiative (ACRI). They will assist parents and carers to understand purpose and function of child restraints and be able to answer questions regarding legal restraint requirements for children 0 - 7 years of age – all in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of correctly fit child restraints and reduce the incidence of childhood injury.
Parents, grandparents and carers of children 0-7 years of age are invited to attend and receive a free inspection and discuss their safety and legal obligations.
