Council is pleased to advise you of proposed playground refurbishment and picnic area construction work at Highett Reserve, Turner Road, Highett (Melway reference 77 H 9). Please find attached a Landscape Concept Plan outlining key elements of the project for your reference. Larger-sized public notice boards have also been erected at the park.

Key elements of the proposal include:
- The construction of a new children’s playground;
- The installation of new park furniture including seats, table settings, park bins and a drinking fountain;
- The installation of a new picnic area including a barbecue and shelter;
- The installation of new paths;
- Tree planting.

Following public consultation in November, work is proposed to start in January/February, 2010.
