The Kingston Interfaith Advisory Committee provides a connection between Kingston Council and faith communities to encourage open communication, interfaith dialogue and interfaith activities.
The Committee is made up of people from a diverse range of faiths (Christian, Eckankar, Sathya Sai, Baha’i, Hindu and Anglican) and is hoping to expand.
The Committee meets monthly and works together on a range of projects that involve the Kingston Interfaith Network and the broader community. Events featured in 2011 included an interfaith stall at the Globe to Globe World Music Festival, a tree planting day for National Tree Day, and gatherings highlighted by a range of speakers.
