| The Kingston Charitable Fund was established in 2007 by the City of Kingston in partnership with The Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation. | |
The Kingston Charitable Fund raises money from the business and philanthropic communities within the City of Kingston which is then managed by The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, with the interest earned being returned each year to not for profit organisations who provide services to people in Kingston by way of a grant process.
Since it was established The Kingston Charitable Fund has raised more than $700,000 and has assisted more than 45 organisations with grants.

| Kingston Charitable Fund Grants Assessment Panel – Community Representative Applications Invited. | | The Kingston Charitable Fund is a partnership between the City of Kingston and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. The Fund raises money for the community and charitable organisations that help and support local residents. Council is required to establish a Grants Assessment Panel to review grant application guidelines and applications for funding.
The Kingston Charitable Fund is inviting members of the community to apply for appointment to the Kingston Charitable Fund Grants Assessment Panel. Two community representatives will sit on this panel, along with the Mayor, one other Councillor, the Chief Executive Officer and a representative of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. This is an honorary position, for a two year period. Ideally applicants will have: Solid community and business networks A passion to help “grow” the Fund Sound financial judgement Experience with charitable organisations, grant processes or major funding bodies. Applicants must reside or work within the City of Kingston.
