Want to make a difference to the environment and live a littler greener?
During 2012 a series of free community workshops to help you live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle are available.
The workshops have been chosen to offer you a range of skills that will give you the confidence to start a project and empower you to make changes so that you live a more sustainable life.

5th May Shrink your wasteline 10.00-12.00
Council’s Waste Education team will teach you how to shop smarter and reduce the amount of waste you produce as well as taking you through how to establish and maintain a composting system or worm farm.
19th May Fresh Green Cleaning 10.00-12.00
Learn how to clean your home safely and sustainably. Bridget Gardner will share her professional cleaning experience through interactive demonstrations, stories and presentations that can be applied to any situation. Live simply. Be healthy. Save money. (includes creating your own creamy cleanser)
13th June Create a wildlife friendly backyard 6.30-8.30
Learn how to design your garden and what plants to grow to attract some of Kingston’s beautiful insects, butterflies, birds and other wildlife into your backyard by coming along to this workshop hosted by the team from La Trobe University.
