News>Many hands make light work for Clean Up Australia Day
The City of Kingston is encouraging the community to lend a hand on Clean Up Australia Day by coming along to a cleaning up site or registering your own cleaning up site.

| Clean Up Australia Day is on 4 March 2012 and this year, Council is assisting in cleaning up four local sites in Mordialloc, Chelsea and Clarinda.
Council’s Clean Up Australia Day sites have been organised at the following locations:

Saturday, March 3, 10am to 12pm. Meet at Bay St Carpark, Cnr Bay St & Beach Rd, Mordialloc (Mel Ref: 87 D12)

Sunday, March 4, 10 am to 1 pm. Meet at J Grut Reserve, Mordialloc, 3195. (Mel Ref: 92 H1)

Sunday March 4, 10 am to 12 pm. Meet at Chelsea Surf Life Saving Club, The Strand, Chelsea (Mel Ref: 97 A1)

Sunday March 4, 10 am to 12 pm. Meet at Bald Hill Park, Inverness Street, Clarinda
Local businesses are encouraged to participate in the Business Clean Up Day (Friday the 2nd of March). Local schools may take part in the Schools Clean Up Day (Tuesday the 28th of February).
It’s not too late to get involved, simply go to www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au to register a Clean Up Site online, find a local site where you can register as a volunteer or simply turn up at one of the sites on the day and register. Make sure to bring gloves, a hat, sturdy shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen.
