Participation at Keys Road Reserve is set to increase, thanks to a $170,000 sports lighting upgrade that will allow sporting groups to use the reserve at night.

| The upgrade has been made possible by an $85,000 Victorian Government grant, $70,000 funding from Kingston Council and a $15,000 contribution from Moorabbin Rugby Union Football Club.
Council welcomes the $85,000 funding from the Victorian Government provided under the 2012-13 Community Facilities Grants Program.
The funding will be used to replace existing lights on the main training field with new lighting that meets Australian standards.
The Club has one of the largest junior and senior rugby memberships and with this sports lighting upgrade it will be able to increase the number of programs offered, use more of the reserve, and extend training hours.
The upgrade will also allow opportunities across a range of programs including women’s senior rugby, men’s rugby across all age levels, junior rugby development programs and Masters (over 35) rugby. | |
