News>Reg Marlow Reserve – open for play
The playground at Reg Marlow Reserve is up and running after a three month renovation.

| Refurbishment of the playspace began in November 2011 in line with Council’s Playground Strategy and rolling program of playground renewals.
The chance to expand and redevelop Reg Marlow Reserve was significant because Council’s Playground Strategy identified the reserve as being one of only three play spaces in the local area.
Equipment from the old playground was reused and new play activities were created for all ages, including a toddler play area with cubby houses, stepping stones, and a bird’s nest swing.
Council is pleased to announce that the revitalised play space at Reg Marlow Reserve is now open. The playground offers something for people of all ages and will be an excellent facility for families.
The works were funded by Council in partnership with developer Charter Hall and were designed to ensure the park and playground will be integrated with the new neighbouring residential development.
The existing footprint of the park will be increased and new facilities include a picnic shelter and barbecue area, park tree planting, and new paths with connections to Oak Avenue, Warrigal Road and to the new residential area.
The design of the park also was modified to incorporate community feedback, including installing bike racks and retaining a section of the reserve as open space for recreation.
