National Year of Reading to be launched with live radio broadcast   Printer Friendly

The community is invited to be part of the studio audience for an exciting live radio broadcast at Cheltenham Branch Library to officially launch the National Year of Reading in Kingston.

The Love 2 Read Live Radio Broadcast by 88.3 Southern FM will take place from 9.00am-11.00am on Tuesday 14 February 2012.

Tthe event will feature live music, book and play readings, as well as door prizes.

We invite everyone to join us at this exciting event at Cheltenham Branch Librarywhere Terri Adams will be broadcasting her Kaleidoscope program live on 88.3 Southern FM. You can hear all about the author talks and other exciting events at Kingston Libraries in 2012 to celebrate the National Year of Reading.

The event will feature live music from organist David Johnston OAM and singer/songwriter Michael Fenemore-Cocks.

Logie award-winning actress Maggie Millar will also be reading excerpts from Victoria’s short listed titles for the National Year of Reading and there will be a live play reading, "Mirage" – a dramatized version of Christian Fennell’s winning short story entry in the Library’s 2011 Winter Words Short Story Competition adapted for radio by Judy Sullivan.
