News>Entries closing soon for photographic competition
Shutterbugs have until 31 January 2012 to submit their entries into the Lens Mist and Junior Lens Mist Photographic Award for an opportunity to see their work on exhibition at the Mordialloc by the Bay Fine Food, Wine and Music Festival and the chance to win cash prizes!

|  Now in its third year, the Photographic Award promises to be bigger and better with the return of Susan van Wyk, Curator of Photography at NGVNational Gallery of Victoria.
Lens Mist challenges artists to explore seascape photography using creativity, imagination, originality and vision with a focus on Port Phillip Bay.First prize of $5,000 will be awarded by the City of Kingston’s Curatorial Committee. There will also be a $2,000 People’s Choice Award sponsored by Windows on the Bay.
Budding young photographers are also encouraged to send us their favourite photo for the chance to win $500. The two Junior Lens Mist categories for 2012 are 3- 12 years and 13 – 18 years and prizes will be awarded to the best photographs in each category. All Junior Lens Mist entries will feature in an online gallery. Last year’s entries can be viewed at www.artwhatson.com.au
Twenty photographs will be chosen for the exhibition at the Mordialloc by the Bay Fine Food, Wine and Music Festival on 17-18 March 2012, one of Victoria’s premier food, wine and music events, attracting 60,000 people across the weekend.
