| Victorian Local Sustainability Accord | | The Victorian Local Sustainability Accord, launched on 7th November 2005 is a landmark partnership agreement between the Victorian State Government and local governments on environmental sustainability. The Accord aims to strengthen cooperative efforts between state and local governments in the delivery of environmental sustainability programs. It provides a mechanism for resolving issues of responsibility between State Government and local governments, and for improving communication between and within both levels of government.
The City of Kingston committed to the principles and actions within the Accord in late 2006 and prepared and adopted the Kingston Local Environmental Sustainability Priority Statement in October 2008.
