The Community Grants Program aims to enhance the quality of life and diversity of experiences for all residents in the City of Kingston.
The objectives of the Program are to: Provide equitable opportunity for the community to seek funding assistance from Council; Address needs within the community; Support initiatives that strengthen community participation, development and inclusion; Foster support across a range of interest areas including health and welfare, community support, arts and culture, sports and recreation, environment and access and equity; and Assist Council to deliver on identified priorities and strategies.
Current Grants Available:
City-wide Grants (Municipal) Applications are open from 6 February 2012 to 13 April 2012 Support for activities that reach a broad area of Kingston and/or have municipal significance. Activity outcomes should largely relate to more than one local neighbourhood area.
Village Committee Grants (Local) Applications are open from 6 February 2012 to 13 April 2012 Support for activities that largely benefit Kingston residents within a particular local neighbourhood as defined by Kingston’s ten Village Committee areas.
Individual Development Grants Applications are open from 6 February 2012 to 13 April 2012 Funding assistance for individuals whom are residents of Kingston in the areas of Sports & Recreation, Arts & Culture and Environmental/ Humanitarian Initiatives.
Kind 2 Mind Mental Health Initiative Applications are open from 02 April 2012 to 01 June 2012 Funding to mental health service providers to explore the use of social media in achieving positive mental health outcomes for residents of Kingston.
