About Kingston Harvest Festival
The City of Kingston is proud to announce that Australian country legend Adam Brand will headline the 2013 Kingston Harvest Festival.

Some of Australia’s top country, bluegrass and rockabilly artists – including Adam Brand, Carter and Carter, Lloyd Spiegel Duo and more – will perform under the big top at Kingston Council’s 2013 Harvest Festival on Saturday 11 May from 11am to 11pm at Roy Dore Reserve, Carrum.

Now in its seventh year, Harvest Festival is held to celebrate the autumn harvest, originating from British-Saxon times when the success of a crop governed the lives of people.

There is plenty on offer for the whole family at the Harvest Festival. As well as non-stop music, there will also be fresh food demonstrations by chefs in the Harvest Kitchen, a Green Hub, market stalls, a mouth-watering array of food, a licensed bar with wine and beer, and amusements rides.

RSVP to the Facebook event and invite your friends!

Learn about living more sustainably at the Kingston Harvest Festival Green Hub.
The inaugural Green Hub will feature half hour workshops covering a range of topics from gardening to energy efficiency, as well as stalls from companies and organisations that sell products to help you green up your life. Festivalgoers will be encouraged to test out a bicycled-powered electricity generator, which will power the screen showing documentaries from the American series E2 which touch on sustainability practices and urban design. There will also be short films shown through the day, including the top 10 entries from the Big Green Schools Conference (held the day before the festival) alongside displays from local schools about their environmental initiatives. Council will also be using the Green Hub as a chance to launch the Sustainability Stories program, which showcases what local community members are doing to live more sustainably.
