Standing Order Authors
If an author is on the standing order list, we automatically buy any new titles published by that author.  You can still check the catalogue to see if we already hold a title, but if a new book by a standing order author is not listed, we will be purchasing copies.

Community Languages
The City of Kingston includes a wide range of cultures and languages. To find out what’s available in your language you can browse our online catalogue or search our catalogue for specific items.

In addition, the MyLanguage website provides online access to information, newspapers, and resources in over 60 languages.

We hold an extensive collection of genealogy resources from Australia and overseas at our Parkdale branch, including birth, death and marriage records, shipping and passenger lists, cemetery records and census information. For further details go to our genealogy page.

Collection Management Policy
The Collection Management Policy is a planning document produced by the Library that identifies and communicates the long and short-term collection goals and policies of Kingston Libraries. It aims to provide a general framework for the development of all collections, and is devised and maintained in consultation with library staff and customers. 

The Policy is currently being updated and will be available on the website when it is completed.
