Kingston's waste system is based on equity and choice. It's designed to provide a convenient, reliable and environmentally sustainable service.

Residents have access to a choice of kerbside waste services that include a weekly garbage collection, fortnightly recycling with an optional green waste collection, an on-call tree branch collection service and an annual hard rubbish collection.

FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNWANTED PAINT, OIL OR HOUSEHOLD CHEMICALS please use the link below to visit Sustainability Victoria to find information on how to dispose of unwanted household chemicals, unused paint, oils, etc..

Detox Your Home collections will be held in Sandringham, in the car park of the Council offices at 76 Royal Avenue on Saturday 30 May and in Chelsea, in the car park at the rear of the Chelsea Library on Saturday 15 August 2009. These collections take place between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Please refer to the Sustainability Victoria web site for further information on this program.
