 | Kingston's FREE maternal and child health service is staffed by registered MCH nurses who support parents with children from 0 to 6 years. | | Nurses assess the health and development of babies and young children and provide information, advice and referral as needed. | | Parents may attend any centre and new families are always welcome. | | New parent groups are available at each MCH centre to help 1st time parents. | | Advice is available on issues such as parenting, home and car safety for children, child accident and injury prevention, nutrition, family planning, referral to local support services and immunisation.
