Meet Children’s Author Deborah Abela
During Library and Information Week meet award-winning children's author Deborah Abela. She is known for her immensely successful series Max Remy Super Spy, which in 2008 was voted into the Top 50 Children’s Books.

Preschool Storytime
Preschool storytime sessions are held weekly at all branches except Warrigal Road. Storytime is a free service suitable for children aged 2-5. Bookings are not necessary. Sessions include stories, rhymes and songs and are usually structured around a theme (like pets or dinosaurs).

Book Bugs
Book bugs is a club for kids in grades prep, 1, 2 and 3 who are interested in all sorts of books. Kids who join the club are encouraged to attend once a month from 4-5pm for a fun hour of book talk, puzzles, games competitions and craft. The sessions follow themes such as Under the Sea, Pirates, Pets and the Olympics.

Book Bugs benefits include free reservations for members and the chance to look at all the new kids' books before anyone else!

To become a Book Bug, just turn up at one of the meetings and sign up!

readz @ 4pm
Readz @ 4pm is a group for young people to come together on a monthly basis to meet other young people and to have some fun. The club is facilitated by Youth Services staff and young people who are members of the City of Kingston’s Youth Consultative Committee. Past activities have included Manga drawing, clay animation, cooking, movie afternoons, Wii competitions etc Food & drinks will be provided and it is free!!!
