Red Bin Collections to Begin Again

In response to the issues facing Transpacific, Kingston City Council has arranged for an additional waste collection provider (J.J. Richards) to commence red bin collections from Friday 22 August.

Transpacific have advised their fleet of trucks will not operate again today (21 August) while their investigations continue following a fatal road accident in SA on Monday. This means there will be no bin collection services in Kingston today.

Expected one day disruption to normal bin collections

Due to a fatal accident in South Australia, Transpacific has taken its fleet of vehicles off the road for investigations. As Council contracts its waste collection service to Transpacific, there will be no bins collected today (Wednesday 20 August). Bin collections expected to resume tomorrow.

Sun shades all set for summer at Carrum Foreshore Playground

The City of Kingston has received a $50,000 grant from the Department of Health for shade structures at the Carrum Foreshore Playground. The City of Kingston is contributing a further $26,000 to the project.

New railway fencing for Chelsea Shopping Centre

The City of Kingston, with support from Metro Trains Melbourne, has secured funding from the State Government’s $115 million Bayside Rail Improvement Project to replace railway fencing at Chelsea Shopping Centre.

Switching on for sport

Mayor of Kingston, Cr Paul Peulich, together with the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Mr Damian Drum, celebrated the completion of sports field lighting projects at Glen Street Reserve and Parkdale Secondary College with a ceremonial flicking of the switch last night.
