Local RSLs and Rotary Clubs in Kingston will hold ANZAC Day services on 25 April to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli.
Extensive upgrades to the Mentone Parade Memorial Gardens and Honour Roll will be completed in time for ANZAC Day commemorations on Friday 25 April 2014. The new granite Honour Roll will commemorate local members of the Australian Armed Forces who died serving their country.
Kingston City Council has awarded Ausbuild the contract to build the new $1.8 million Clayton South Kindergarten. Kingston City Council is contributing $1.2 million to the project with an additional $600,000 in funding from the State Government.
Naveen Satish Kumar, a grade six school student from Aspendale Gardens Primary School has been elected the Junior Mayor of Kingston for 2014/15 and will be presented with his Mayoral Robes by Mayor Paul Peulich during a Council Meeting on 28 April 2014.
Kingston residents at risk of chronic disease have benefited from over 40 different health and fitness programs delivered over the last two years as part of the Good Living Project. The Good Living Project aims to boost physical health and nutrition levels for residents of Kingston.
