NBN Update

In the City of Kingston, the NBN rollout is well advanced with around 92% of homes and businesses able to order an nbn phone and/or internet plan from their preferred Service Provider by the end of 2018.

Access to fast broadband via the NBN is designed to provide a range of benefits for homes and businesses.

NBN will notify you by mail once your home or business is ready to switch. You will then have up to 18 months before existing services are disconnected.

As most existing landline phone and internet services will be disconnected, it’s important you switch affected services even if you only use a landline phone.

What do you need to do next?

  1. Check your address

    If your home or business isn’t yet connected, to the nbn™ access network, check your address, here to find out if it is already available at your address.

  2. Prepare to switch

    The rollout of the nbn™ broadband access network will involve new technologies. If you have any of the following devices or services, contact your provider and register with nbn  so that we can support you to help minimise a break in services.

  3. Contact a phone and internet provider

    You won’t be connected automatically, so contact your preferred phone and internet provider to discuss your requirements and select the most appropriate plan for your home and business needs.
