  • The City of Kingston welcomes applications from people who are committed to becoming a Direct Care Worker and provide a positive impact on on the lives of over 5,000 people within the municipality.

    Your responsibilities will include working with older people and children and adults with a disability to remain living independently in their own homes as well as supporting families by providing the opportunity for them to take a short break from their caring responsibilities. A large component of the work is domestic assistance within the homes of our clients.

    You must have a Certificate III in Home and Community Care and/or Aged Care or be prepared to undertake accredited training, the physical capacity to undertake homecare tasks, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

    The number of hours of work is variable, however we are seeking candidates interested in working an average of 5 hours per day over a 4 or 5 day week. A current Victorian driving licence and an insured road worthy car are required. You must be prepared to undergo a Police Check and hold a current Working with Children check.
